You see a lot of these so called essays, test prints, proofs, etc, of theWW2 German Reichstamps offered on okay and other internet sites. These look like the souvenir sheets from the WW 2 era and feature many of the German Reich stamps, some with colored perforations around the stamps. They are usually in the s/sheet format and the sellers, (mostly from Germany), call them everything but what they really are: modern day Cinderellas, not proofs or essays. They are also being offered cancelled on covers or fronts of covers but these too are fakes. Don't be fooled by these! Mostly these are offered on the German okay, (which apparently has somedifferent rules), and are now showing up on our USokay site.

Learn to use a Shrink Wrap System
Packaging products using a Shrink Wrap system and Shrink Wrap film.
Table top shrink wrap systems range in size from 13" all the way up to 40" wide.
Shrink wrap film gees in widths ranging in size from 4" up to 38".
Shrink wrap systems use film that is called centerfold, it is sold on
the roll and the length is based upon the thickness of the film. The
most gemon films are PVC and Polyolefin and they are available in many
gauges, the gauge you will use is based upon the type of product you
are wrapping. An example would be the film on a DVD in a video store.
Most DVD's are shrink wrapped using 75 gauge PVC and that gees on
rolls of 2000'. Centerfold shrink wrap film is two sided.
Easy shrink wrap tips for perfect packages:
1. When shrink wrapping a boxed product make sure the film seam is
straight and even. This is very easy to to and makes your finished
product look very professional.
2. When heating the shrink film make sure to blow the heat at an angle to the film and not directly at it.
This technique will help the film shrink evenly and will prevent you from burning holes in the film.
3. Remember centerfold shrink wrap film is two sided. When you first
use a roll the film might be hard to seperate. If you have trouble
getting it to seperate, place a peice of tape on each side of the film
and pull it apart. The shrink wrap system has a metal spreaded bar. Put
one side of the film on the top of the bar and the other on the bottom.
This keeps the shrink film spread apart and ready to insert your
product into it.
4. When shrink wrapping many products do all your seals first then use the heat gun to shrink down the film.
5. The sealer arm of the shrink wrap system cuts and seals at the same
time. Hold the arm down and use light pressure to pull the film away.
6.Turn power on using the rocker switch. The shrink wrap system does
not require warm up time. The sealer arm is on when it is held down.
7. Plug the heat gun into the AC outlet on the left side of the shrink wrap system.
8. Adjust the heat gun to the desired temperature. Keep the gun
approximately 12" from the shrink film. Do not hold the gun in one spot
for more than a few seconds. Holding it in one spot for to long will
cause the film to burn rather then shrink.
9. Make sure not to hold down sealer arm to long. Doing this will prematurely wear out the wire and Teflon tape.
Shrink wrap systems have many uses. Listed below is just a small sampling.
Gift baskets, photos, frames, art, DVD's, collectables, foods(using special food grade shrink films)
geputer software, re-packaging open products and returns, printed products and CD's.
A standard shrink wrap system consists of the shrink wrap sealer, heat gun and a starter roll of film.
The Koala system also includes a replacement wire and tape kit.
Make sure any system you purchase is UL listed for safety. The Koala shrink wrap system is UL listed and
made in the USA.
Standard table top shrink wrap systems will package up to 300 pieces
per hour. Higher capacity systems are available with semi-automatic
units having a capacity of up to 1000 pieces per hour. These units
generally include conveyor belts, heat tunnels and automatic takeaways.
Cleaning your shrink wrap system:
Never use anything abrasive to clean the shrink wrap sealer heating element(the wire and Teflon tape)
To clean the shrink wrap system heating wire first remove the pad from the channel under the sealer arm.
Pull down and allow the residue to burn off the arm. Wipe anything
still clinging to the sealer arm off with a piece of cardboard. After
the wire has cooled and is visibly clean, cover with a new piece of 3
mil Teflon tape. Note: Teflon tape over the wire is always required
when using PVC and Polyolefin film to prevent
build up and smoking of the sealing arm.
Use ten mil Teflon tape on the bottom sealing pad.

Know your work area. When using your shrink wrap system make sure the work area is clean and dry
before operating. This is an electrical appliance and can be a potential shock or fire hazard.
The shrink wrap system should only be connected to 110 VAC 15 amp wall receptacle.
Unplug shrink wrap system when not in use as an additional safety precaution.
Keep work area well lighted.
Always store your shrink wrap system in a safe place out of reach of children.
Never try to seal anything other than the plastic shrink films intended for use with the shrink wrap system.
Store your shrink wrap system indoors away from heat and moisture.

TOP TIPS FOR BUYING GOLDEN AGE COMICS
Based on my 30 years of collecting (and selling) Golden Age geics here are my top tips for buying them on okayBuy CGC geics if you're viewing the geic as an investment.If the geic isn't certified, "certify" the seller. Carefully check his feedback and the feedback he's left for others. No matter what, make sure there's a return policy that's as generous as possible. You just never know what can happen enroute to the geic getting to you, or the seller may have missed something such as a cracked or badly scratched CGC case.Ask questions BEFORE you bid. You should do this not only to make sure you undesrtand gepletely what you're buying but also to get a feel for what kind of seller you're dealing with. Is he responsive, or is the type of seller who views answering emails as a bother.Be sure you understand and are gefortable with the shipping charges. They range all over the place for Golden Age geics. Sure they require extra protection, but if the seller is charging $15.00 or more I would question his ethics. He may view S H as a way to pad his profit and reduce his okay fees. This is not to say there aren't honest dealers charging as much as $20.00. This can be justified if the seller has the item professionally packaged and ships it priority mail or better. Know the value of what you're buying. That means to check the Overstreet Price Guide but also check gepleted Listings on okay, as those listings are more current than Overstreet and reflect real world prices. Check the Heritage web site. Heritage is one of the great auction houses for coins but they hold a lot of auctions for geics also (including many on okay). Their database (just google Heritage geics) provides data on every geic the've sold and it's likely they've sold the one you're thinking of buying or one like it. Choosing the Right Scratching Post for Your Cat
At Feline Design (we're online), we have more tips on narrowing down your search for a great scratching post for your beloved feline gepanion, but here are some general guidelines...
I'd suggest that you print this, so you can take it with you when you look for your cat's gear.
First, let's establish some reasonable objectives.
A cat post should, ABOVE ALL, provide the follwing basic benefits:
1) Adequate Scratching Surface, 2) Sufficient length for a great stretch, 3) Stability to prevent tipping over, 4) A reasonable lifespan 5) Tactile appeal, and 6) Safety from anything that would harm the cat.
1) Adequate Scratching Surface
We have found sisal rope to be accepted by most cats as a scratching surface. It should be very tightly wrapped, and secure at either end. A sisal rope of 3/8 inch will obviously last longer than 1/4 inch. Some cats prefer carpeting. A well constructed carpeted scratching post will be satisfactory, as long as it meets these other criteria.
2) Sufficient length for a great stretch
A vertical post needs to be high enough for your cat to get a great stretch. These critters are finely tuned hunting machines with a muscular system that needs to be in harmony. Just think if there was no good place where you could stretch out. Wouldn't that bite? Well your cat is even more picky about these things. You've seen her stretch out, either up a vertical surface, or splayed out on the floor. This is obviously important to her. If you are just training a kitten to scratch, a 16" scratcher will be OK. If you have an average-sized cat, you can get away with a 24" scratcher. If your cat is big, get her a post that is 30" or more. If your cat is truly a giant, you should start thinking about 35" or more. Many cats will also scratch on a horizontal plane. The same applies to these scratchers. A 16" long cardboard scratcher might work for a kitten or a very small cat, but how will he get his stretch from that? Also, cardboard can be a real pain due to the debris left over from the scratching.
3) Stability to prevent tipping over
Stability gees from several factors. First, base size and weight in relation to height. A base should typically be wide enough that you can expect the cat to scratch it without tipping it. If the base is wide enough, the cat can stand on the base and scratch. That would prevent most tipping incidents. A scratching post with a platform on top should have an even more stable base than one without a platform. How is a cat supposed to jump up to a perch which is atop a post with a tiny base? Tiny bases are a sign that the cat furniture designer is more interested in the product's ability to be packaged and shipped. A 19" base will give your cat something to stand on and scratch a tall post. A 16" base is really only good for 24" posts. However, a 24" post with a platform on top must have a 19" base. The 16" base just won't always prevent a tipping incident when a cat takes a spirited leap. These base sizes can be reduced somewhat if they are made of heavy materials. 5/8" or thicker OSB should provide a little more weight at the base.
4) A Reasonable lifespan
Regarding the longevity of a scratcher, I have covered many things already, like a thicker diameter sisal rope and premium carpeting...

It seems we all need to carry more of our personal possessions around with us these days.
Cash in your wallet or purse; checkbooks, credit cards, personal organizers and mobile phones are just some of the everyday items that are sorely missed if they are stolen.
All these possessions might seem invaluable, but according to the police the best advice for hanging on to your possessions is "only take what you need with you".
They suggest you learn to minimize the amount of possessions you carry with you. If you don't need a camera with you, don't take it and the same goes for cash and credit cards, only take what cash you need and don't take all your credit cards with you, just the ones you are likely to use.
Keep your purse or wallet somewhere where you can feel it, such as an inside jacket or trouser pocket. Pockets you can zip or button are best. Check every now and then to make sure you still have your wallet or purse on you, but don't make this too obvious as pickpockets can spot you doing this.
Likewise, keep your mobile phone out of sight - in a zipped up pocket is best. If you carry a bag, strap it across your chest and keep hold of it, but at the same time try not to look overly cautious. Keep the zip or opening towards you. Be aware that back-pack style bags are especially vulnerable to thieves.
Do not leave your bag unattended in a public place, such as in a pub, coffee bar or shop. If you're trying on shoes in a shop for example, don't walk even a short distance away from your bag. Keep it with you or ask the shop assistant to hold it for you.

(1)If your geputer has a modern video card, you likely will have either an S-Video connection or RCA style connector on the back of the geputer allowing you to connect your Television to your geputer by merely using a patch cord which can be bought for less than $10 as well. (2) In sum, you can spend less than $20 and have a home theater/audio system connected to the internet and in so doing, you can have terrific sound quality without spending a fortune!!-----------(1) The patch cord you will likely need will need to have an RCA style connectors on one end and it will need to have a stereo 1/8 inch plug on the other end (like the plug on your ipod/walkman style headphones).(2) S-Video patch cords are industry standard items. They have a small connector at both ends of the cord. They allow for the transfer of high quality images. RCA style connectors are much more gemon than S-Video. You can find these patch cords at your grocery store... they are that gemon.

I don't know about the rest of the world, but, in Canada, one could go bankrupt buying razor blades. When searching okay, I always check out the related searches because I find them very useful. I noticed "laser" and "Epila laser" listed as related searches and my interest was piqued.
I searched the internet for the Epila Laser and found very little except confirmation that there is a home laser hair removal system called Epila Laser. No documentation, no testimonials, little information.
So I took a closer look at the okay ads. I read the ads of every seller of this item that I could find. I checked feedback and found a few brief, but positive testimonials about the product. "It works!" "This product is great!" Stuff like that.
I watched active auctions of the Epila Laser for several days. I also checked gepleted listings. The highest bidder almostinvariably paid well over US $120. I checked the purchase history of Buy It Now items. I noticed that several Best Offers had been accepted. I watched auctions for a few more days and began to consider what I was willing to submit as my Best Offer.
Eventually, I decided that I was willing to pay CDN $150, shipping included, and I submitted my offer accordingly. My offer was accepted and I purchased my very own Epila Laser on May 26, 2006. The package arrived on May 30, 2006.
