Bound copies of NY Times Newspaper

I have a large stack of these papers bound into books from about 1945 to about 1968. They were from Vassar College and when they changed to microfiche, a student took the books to her house and kept them on her covered porch. In the 1980s she gave them to my son and they have been stacked in my basement ever since. The covers are in poor shape but the interior are ok. Can anyone tell me if they have any value? How do I go about moving them to someone that can use them. There must be 40 to 50 volumes.
