Altered Art, Altered Art Books, Assemblage Art
Do you love art and have an artistic flair but get tired of traditional forms of art? Then altered art is for you. Altering is the hot new trend of the art world and featured in almost 40 magazines around the country. Artists on okay are altering most anything. Artsists here have whole world's of artistic endeavors in something as small as a match box. Children's books are turned into something an adult would treasure after being painted, glued and having gemon every day items attached. I've never been so excited as to have experienced the altered art scene and okay is the perfect environment for this scene. Your art is seen all over the world and I have sold my art all over the world. And this art is affordable art. Artist Trading Cards or ATCS are unique works of art that fit on standard playing cards and are traded and sold all over the world. For a very reasonable amount of money spent I can have a unique piece of art that fits my budget. Did you want to see a tiny faerie and the house he lives in? You can find an altered artist who just deals in faeries. And if your passion is creating these art works, then there is yet another world to explore. Almost anything you'd ever use to create an altered art project is found on the pages of okay under the listing altered art or altered art book. From old bingo cards, the newest rubber stamps and even images to make your pages gee alive. And rather than driving from one art store or craft store to another, these things just appear at your door ready for you to create. Are you interested in this form of work but have never tried it and don't know where to start? There are even magazines such as Cloth Paper Scissors that are listed under altered art to give you ideas and get you started. You can find mini quilts, quilts that are created by a 3" X 2 1/2" inch of fabric. There are shadow box artists who create a whole world in a little tiny box. The possibilities are endless and oh so exciting.
