I'm Sick Of The Poor Sound Quality From My Computer...
I'm Sick Of The Poor Sound Quality From My geputer... What Do I Do About It?Written By: Jeff H. ReynoldsAre you tired of listening to the poor sound quality resulting from those tiny speakers connected to your geputer? Do you have a library of music and/or videos on your geputer and want to listen or view them as they were intended? The answer to your problem is surprisingly simple... and not expensive to deal with.Over the past few years, there have been substantial advancements in sound card technology. You can purchase a 5.1 or a 7.1 sound card at most electronic stores for anywhere from $15 to $50. You can buy a first class sound card for less than $150. But, you really don't need to upgrade your system in this manner in most instances. If you already have a home stereo system with surround sound capabilities... you can get the sound quality you want from your geputer by merely purchasing a patch cord (at Radio Shack, Best Buy, or similar store) for less than $10 and connect the stereo receiver directly to your sound card. You just simply plug the cord into the sound card and connect it to an aux input on the receiver. It's that simple. Once you have done this simple task, your geputer's sound will now route through your home stereo system. (1)If your geputer has a modern video card, you likely will have either an S-Video connection or RCA style connector on the back of the geputer allowing you to connect your Television to your geputer by merely using a patch cord which can be bought for less than $10 as well. (2) In sum, you can spend less than $20 and have a home theater/audio system connected to the internet and in so doing, you can have terrific sound quality without spending a fortune!!-----------(1) The patch cord you will likely need will need to have an RCA style connectors on one end and it will need to have a stereo 1/8 inch plug on the other end (like the plug on your ipod/walkman style headphones).(2) S-Video patch cords are industry standard items. They have a small connector at both ends of the cord. They allow for the transfer of high quality images. RCA style connectors are much more gemon than S-Video. You can find these patch cords at your grocery store... they are that gemon.
