Chief CRAZY HORSE photographs

BEWARE OF FALSE PHOTO CLAIMS
Hello,
I just want to sharea couple of pieces ofinformation that I have learned during my years studying the famous life and history of "Chief" CRAZY HORSE.
As avery popular Native American Indian,Crazy Horse'shistory may include many things, but a photograph of him isNOT one of them.
I have seen people trying to sell "photographs" of "Chief" Crazy Horseon okay and I just wanted to inform Buyers that there were never ANY photographs taken of him. Heneverallowed it.His belief was that a person lost part of their souleach timea photograph wastaken of them. (becauseif one's image showed up on the paper, there must have been something "taken from them")
Even with all of the historical records and documentation amassed over the years by the U.S. Government, there is not one photo of Crazy Horse in the archives. In fact, the image chosen for thegememorative Stamp, which honors Crazy Horse, is merelya depiction by the artist, of an Indian warrior. (I actuallyreally like the stamp)
So, although there are images, painting, and drawings out there in the marketplace, there are NO real photographs of Crazy Horse. Don't be fooled!
T.J.M.
P.S.Another tid-bit... Crazy Horse was never actuallya"CHIEF".Although hewas a great warrior, withcourageous fighting ability, he was not a Chief. His fierce opposition to the encroachingU.S. Military was so respected byhis fellow warriors, and thereal Tribal"Chiefs",that whenever there were Treaty "negotiations" with the U.S.Government, he was asked to attend. It was due to his regularpresenceatthese "negotiations", that theU.S. Governmentassumed he must beaChief.Asmost of the information from that time periodwas writtenfrom the white man's point of view, it can be said that this is the reason that Crazy Horse has carried the "chief" moniker all these years, although it is not the case.
I hope you find this information to be of some value in your life!
